Georgina Brown Speakers Bio

TEDx Speaker,

EDI Consultant, Founder of BARDO Inclusive, and

Senior Adviser to Advance HE and the Higher Education Sector in the UK and abroad.

Georgina (George) Brown – Transforming Inclusion Through Neuroscience, Strategy & Wit

Specialising in behavioural change, I have spent over 27 years at the forefront of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), partnering with leading organisations across the UK and internationally. My career has taken me from the corridors of the European Parliament to the training grounds of the British Army, the boardrooms of global corporations, and the policy hubs of the Home Office and NHS.

Armed with a Master’s degree in Strategic Management from the University of Bristol, I honed my expertise at Europe’s leading change management consultancy, spending over a decade decoding the complexities of organisational transformation. My work spans system audits through an inclusive lens, crafting and delivering bespoke EDI training, and designing high-impact social change campaigns that shift mindsets and cultures.

My fascination with neuroscience and human behaviour led me to develop the BARDO Neuro-Inclusive Maturity Model—a groundbreaking approach that bridges cognitive science with EDI strategy to drive meaningful, lasting change. I believe that understanding how the brain processes bias, trust, and influence is the missing piece in building truly inclusive cultures.

I’ve held senior roles, including Head of EDI at the University of Bath and Senior Adviser for Equality Charters at Advance HE, shaping national frameworks for inclusion in higher education. Now, as the founder of BARDO Inclusive, I help organisations move beyond performative diversity efforts to embed inclusion in their DNA, using science, strategy, and just the right amount of irreverence to make it stick.

Beyond the boardroom, my passion for diversifying outdoor spaces and championing environmental action led me to establish GROWS, a local initiative tackling sustainability through community collaboration. Whether advocating for neuro-inclusive leadership, challenging outdated EDI narratives, or inspiring action on social justice and climate change, I bring a mix of deep expertise, sharp storytelling, and a healthy disregard for corporate jargon.

But who am I, really?

A shy, white, cisgender, pansexual, neurodivergent, meditating, dog-loving Buddhist with OCD and an unshakable belief in the power of kindness and belonging, who breeds native UK butterflies. Also, a firm believer that humour is an underutilised tool in changing the world, which our brain biology shows is needed for authentic change.

Let’s speak soon.
